Easy Homemade Caesar Dressing

I think the most popular Dressing for Salads is the Caesar Dressing (Ceasar). You can easily buy them in bottles at the groceries or supermarkets, but nothing beats the fresh, homemade kind!

The recipe calls for fish sauce, which is a common thing to have in a Filipino kitchen, but you can also use anchovies if you prefer that or if it is easier to get. Personally, I think it is a good idea to have fish sauce in your pantry. It can be used for various recipes and is great as a marinade for fried chicken and other meat. It may probably smell bad for those who are not used to it but it adds a certain flavor you just cannot get from salt.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoons garlic - minced

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl. That's it!

Notes

You can skip the mustard but increase the Apple Cider Vinegar to ¼ cup.
Put in a bottle or sealed container and keep refrigerated up to several days.
