This mixed vegetables with quail eggs recipe will turn your usual frozen mixed vegetable side dish extra special while keeping it quick and easy.

Mixed Vegetables with Quail Eggs Recipe

Keeping things simple yet delicious and lavish-looking, I daresay, is everyone's goal when preparing a dish, especially if there is an occasion.

And this side dish recipe definitely meets all that...

Buttery, creamy and flavorful with loads of garlicky goodness. Instead of just the usual butter garlic mixed vegetables, I opted to sauce things up by adding a little cream. Armin definitely likes it this way since he likes his sauce, being a Swabian.

Festive and colorful that will liven up your table, thanks to the frozen mixed vegetables pack that includes carrots, green peas, and corn kernel.  It is made even prettier by the dainty quail eggs.

The addition of quail egg and the creamy sauce has made this dish versatile. You can serve it as a side dish or on its own as a light meal to be eaten with your favorite bread.

Mixed Vegetables with Quail Eggs

This mixed vegetables with quail eggs is actually similar to my Sipo Egg recipe sans the shrimps, ham and the Mexican turnip. And because we are using the ready-to-cook mixed vegetable pack, prep time is much shorter. The only part that requires a little more time and effort is cooking and peeling the quail eggs, but this can be done ahead of time and just place the cooked and peeled eggs in the fridge until ready to use the next day.

Below are the methods I use on how to boil and peel quail eggs the easy and quick way.

An easy way to boil Quail Eggs

  1. Place quail eggs in a small pot and add enough tap water to cover them.
  2. Bring water to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Once it starts to boil, stir the eggs around the pot a few times using a slotted spoon.
  4. Turn off the heat once it reaches a rolling boil and cover the pot with a lid and let the quail eggs sit for 5 minutes.
  5. Drain the hot water from the pot and replace with cold tap water. Let it sit until cool enough to handle.

How to boil and peel quail eggs easily and quickly.

How to peel Quail Eggs

  1. Crack the shell by tapping the boiled quail eggs gently on a hard surface.
  2. Place the cracked eggs in a bowl of cold tap water and let it sit for a minute or two.
  3. Slightly pinch a part of the cracked shell to separate the membrane with the shell from the egg and peel away.
